1. About this policy
This policy explains cookies and similar browser technologies on the public HeavyRoutes website at heavyroutes.com, including the pilot expression-of-interest form, illustrated demonstrations and field notes. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains personal information, service providers, retention and your rights.
The signed-in dispatcher portal and mobile app are separate services. Their account, authentication and device storage are described in the Privacy Policy. Following a dispatcher login link takes you to that separate service; browsing this public website does not sign you in.
2. Our current website
We do not currently use audience-analytics tools, advertising pixels or cookies to track visitors on the public website. Our website application does not set cookies or use local storage or an offline browser database. After you choose Send for a direct pilot enquiry, it uses session storage to keep that tab’s original request and private recovery reference.
Our review on 9 September 2026 found no cookies being set during ordinary visits to the public pages. This describes the public browsing experience; hosting security checks, browser extensions and separate services you choose to open can behave differently.
The website’s illustrations, app screenshots and fonts are served with the website. The demonstrations are page interactions, with no embedded advertising, live mapping or third-party video player. Fonts do not require your browser to contact Google Fonts.
3. Cookies and other browser storage
A cookie is a small piece of data a website asks your browser to keep and return with later requests. Cookies can support functions such as signing in, remembering preferences, measuring audiences or advertising. A first-party cookie belongs to the site you visit; third-party cookies come from another domain. Cookies can last for a session or have an expiry date.
Local storage and session storage let a website keep data in your browser. These are different from a cookie and are not automatically sent with each request. A browser cache holds downloaded files so pages can load more efficiently.
Here is how the public HeavyRoutes website currently works:

Your browser may independently retain autofill details or restore a previously open page, including its form entries. That behaviour depends on your browser settings. Preparing a pilot email keeps the text on the page until you open your email app or choose to copy it. A draft in your email app and text on your clipboard remain under your device and email provider’s controls.
4. Hosting, security and enquiries
Vercel hosts the public website. Visiting it generates the requests needed to deliver pages and files. Hosting and security systems may process technical information such as your network address, requested page, browser information and request timing. These operational records are separate from cookies and are covered by our Privacy Policy.
Vercel can present a browser verification challenge when its security protections are triggered. Our ordinary-page review did not encounter that challenge, so the cookie inventory above does not claim to cover every conditional security response. Where direct pilot submission is available, the form sends your reviewed enquiry to our website when you choose to submit it. The submission endpoint uses shared 15-minute limits for new enquiry records and a temporary identifier derived from a verified network address using a server secret. Where the address cannot be verified, requests share a conservative limit. Expired counters are removed when another new enquiry is processed. It does not place that identifier in a browser cookie. This rate-limit window is separate from enquiry and hosting-log retention, which are explained in the Privacy Policy.
Links to the dispatcher portal, email services and external reference websites open separate services. Their cookies and storage depend on the service you visit and its settings and policies.
5. Your browser choices
There are currently no optional analytics or advertising cookies to accept or reject on this public website, so we do not display an optional-cookie consent banner.
You can use your browser’s privacy or website-data settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and other stored data. Most browsers let you manage an individual site as well as clear browsing data more broadly. The OAIC’s guidance on cookies and browser privacy controls explains these options.
Blocking session storage prevents saving a new direct enquiry for safe retry; you can use a prepared email instead. Clear this tab’s enquiry copy removes the local recovery record after confirmation and does not cancel or delete an earlier server submission. Keep its reference before clearing it.
Blocking cookies should not prevent ordinary use of this public website as currently implemented. Blocking scripts or a hosting verification check can affect interactive features or access. Blocking authentication storage on the separate dispatcher portal can prevent sign-in.
Clearing browser data does not delete an enquiry already sent to HeavyRoutes, remove a draft held by your email provider or delete an app account. Contact us for information requests under the Privacy Policy. Private browsing also does not prevent the requests needed to deliver the website or all server-side logging.
6. Future changes
We will review this policy when website features or tracking technologies change. If we introduce optional analytics or advertising technologies, we will explain their provider, purpose and storage duration and provide appropriate choices before they run, including consent where required. Where consent is used, you will be able to refuse or withdraw it through working controls. Continuing to browse this website is not consent to future optional tracking.
Updates will be published here with a new effective date and version.
